Prof. Mohan Lal Kolhe

Prof. Dr. Mohan Lal Kolhe is a full professor in smart grid and renewable energy at the Faculty of Engineering and Science of the University of Agder (Norway). He is a leading renewable energy technologist with three decades of academic experience at the international level and previously held academic positions at the world's prestigious universities, e.g., University College London (UK/Australia), University of Dundee (UK), University of Jyvaskyla (Finland), Hydrogen Research Institute, QC (Canada), etc. In addition, he was a member of the Government of South Australia’s first Renewable Energy Board (2009–2011) and worked on developing renewable energy policies. Professor Kolhe is an expert evaluator of many prestigious international research councils (e.g., European Commission: Erasmus+ Higher Education: International Capacity Building, Royal Society London (UK), Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC UK), Cyprus Research Foundation, etc.). In addition, many international organizations have invited him to deliver keynote addresses, expert lectures, workshops, etc. He has also been a member of many academic promotional committees. Professor Kolhe has successfully won competitive research funding from prestigious research councils (e.g., Norwegian Research Council, EU, EPSRC, BBSRC, NRP, etc.) for his work on sustainable energy systems. His research in energy systems has been recognized among the top 2% of scientists globally by Stanford University’s 2020 and 2021 matrices. He is an internationally recognized pioneer in his field, who’s top 10 published works have an average of over 175 citations each.

Prof. Laichang Zhang

Prof. Laichang Zhang was awarded his PhD in Materials Engineering at the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Laichang is currently a Professor of Materials Engineering and Program Leader in Mechanical Engineering at the School of Engineering. Before joining Edith Cowan University, Dr. Zhang worked at the University of Western Australia (Perth, Australia) in 2009–2012, the University of Wollongong (Wollongong, Australia) in 2007–2009, the Leibniz-Institute for Solid State and Materials Research (IFW) Dresden (Dresden, Germany) in 2006–2007, and Darmstadt University of Technology (Darmstadt, Germany) in 2005–2006. Prof. Laichang Zhang has considerable expertise and extensive cross-disciplinary research activities in advanced manufacturing of different types of materials (including nanocrystalline and ultrafine-grained materials, bulk metallic glasses, biomaterials, and high-strength steels) and the understanding of their processing, microstructure, and properties (e.g., mechanical properties, fatigue properties, corrosion behavior, and catalytic performance). Laichang has extensively contributed to several research grants supported by the Australian Research Council, the European Union, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. Laichang has been an editorial board member for many prestigious academic journals such as Advanced Engineering Materials, Materials Science and Technology, Metals, Heliyon, and so on. He also has good industry links, both for teaching and research.
Prof. Hassan Karimi-Maleh

Hassan Karimi-Maleh works as a professor in the School of Resource and Environment, University of Electronics Science and Technology of China (UESTC). He is a highly cited researcher selected by Clarivate Analytics in 2018 (cross-filed), 2019 (agriculture field), 2020 (cross-filed), 2021 (chemistry and agriculture, two categories in one year), and 2022 (chemistry and agriculture, two categories in one year) and the Top 1% Scientists in Chemistry and Agriculture simultaneously in ISI Essential Science Indicators from 2014 until now. He has published more than 400 SCI research papers with more than 23000 citations and an H-index of 92 (according to the WOS report) and 27800 citations and an H-index of 100 (according to Google Scholar). He works on the editorial board of more than 20 international journals, such as Alexandria Engineering Journal (co-editor in editor ELSEVIER IF 6.626). He also works as an adjunct professor at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa; Saveetha School of Engineering, Chennai, India; and Lebanese American University, Lebanese. He worked as the leader of the nano biosensor group at Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam, from 2019–2020. He publishes one book with Springer and one chapter book with the same publisher. Recently, he published a paper in the Science journal. His main research interests include the development of chemically modified sensors and biosensors using DNA and enzymes as biological recognition elements for food, biological, pharmaceutical, and environmental compounds, as well as the analysis and investigation of the electrochemistry behavior of electroactive materials such as polymers and organic and inorganic compounds. Recently, he focused on the synthesis of nanomaterials and their application in drug delivery and energy storage fields. He has a big network that works in three different major groups: the Environmental Research Group, the Energy Research Group, and the Sensor Research Group.
